“In Europe, festivals were held before and after the harvest cycles to give thanks for a good harvest, and to rejoice together after much hard work with the rest of the community. At the time, Native Americans had also celebrated the end of a harvest season. When Europeans first arrived to the Americas, they brought with them their own harvest festival traditions from Europe, celebrating their safe voyage, peace and good harvest.”(-Wikipedia)

The Whatitdo online community has organically grown into a place where urban island artists have showcased their music and artistry in entertainment for all people. Much like how the europeans were able to bring their traditions of harvest and havingthe native americans celebrate the same thing goesto show that people are similar no matterwhich part of the world they have come from.

It’s a been fabulous year highlighting entertainers from all walks of life. We would like to thank you all for being part of our online community and wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving from us to you this is WHATITDO!

As a big thank you to all our fans and supporters, The WhatItDo will be giving out free prizes every so often, to show you our appreciation. All you have to do is let us know in the comments:

Who you would like The Whatitdo to interview next?

Today we have a hot little gadget for one of you. Like us, you might be tired of your phone or MP3 player’s tiny little speaker not doing justice to your music. That’s where the Satechi Portable Pocket Speaker comes in. Just plug this little guy into your music source and you will be blown away. This thing rocks! It’s super compact, making it easy to travel with your tunes. Heck, you don’t even need an MP3 player. Just put your music on an SD card, pop it into the speaker’s SD slot, and go. You can even daisy chain them together. Buy 50 of them and link them together for your own mini-concert!

To be entered to win:

1) Click the Facebook Like button below to “Like” this article ( if you haven’t already).

2) Answer our question by leaving a comment below on this page before 12 noon PST on Friday the 1st (April 1st, but this is no joke). Make sure to log in with your Facebook ID when you comment so we know how to find you if you win. It’s that easy!

Legal mumbo jumbo:
Participants must be currently living in the United States. Only one comment will be counted. Comments must be submitted by the deadline; the winner will then be randomly picked and announced the following day. Prizes include the latest in electronics, fashion, and entertainment. That’s WhatItDo and we only do it for you!
