What more could the Golden State Warriors possibly need since ending their historic season? A championship ring(s) that’s what, and to help them crusade the battle fields of the NBA next season the West Coast NBA Champions have added another weapon to their artillery of top-scoring shooters, defenders and a back-to-back NBA MVP.
Former Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant will be joining the Golden State Warriors on a two year $54.3 million contract which includes a player option after the first year of play for the former NBA MVP. In a post on The Players’ Tribune, Durant shared that this has been “by far the most challenging few weeks in my professional life,” before announcing his decision to move to Northern California.
Twitter-verse however has been in a fit ever since the news hit the internet. Although the Bay Area welcomes KD with open arms, the rest of the world aren’t as excited.
