‘The Rock’ is probably one of the most successful entertainers in the business right now. From movies to wrestling to writing books, the Rock has done it all. Typically seen as a ‘good guy’ in the majority of his movies, the Samoan actor will be adding something new to his extensive resume: a Super villain.  Johnson announced back in September on Twitter and Instagram that he will be a part of New Line Cinema’s new superhero movie, Shazam, as the villain Black Adam.

Not much is known about the film yet, as it is tightly under wraps. New Line has yet to announce who will be playing its title character, and who will be directing the film. There has been speculation before the announcement that the Rock would be a part of this project, and his confirmation has definitely brought excitement to comic book fans. This will definitely be a change from the normal “hero” roles that Johnson usually takes up. We are definitely excited to see what he brings to the table!
