Exciting news for Game of Thrones fans! While the ending of Season 4 left us on the edge of our seats, the show announced at Comic-Con over the summer that they will be adding in tons of new actors to continue on the story of one of the hottest shows on television right now. We will see many newcomers as well as some familiar faces. Among the new additions is former Whale Rider and Star Wars: Episode III Maori actress Keisha Castle-Hughes, who will be playing Obara Sand, the eldest bastard daughter of the late Prince Oberyn Martell, and one of the Sand Snakes.

Season five of GoT will pick up where we left off in season four, when we saw Prince Martell (also known as the Red Viper) brutally killed by the Mountain. Rumor has it that Martell’s three daughters, known as the Sand Snakes, will be travelling to King’s Landing to avenge their father’s death. This is the first time we will see Castle-Hughes in a new role since 2013, when she was featured in The Stolen. Her film credits also include Paikea in Whale Rider, Queen Apailana of Naboo in Star Wars: Episode III, and Mary in the Nativity Story. We are all definitely excited to see her kick some butt next year on the show!
