Phillipa Steele, daughter of Coleen and George Steele represents her homeland of Fiji as an international Super Model under Trump Modeling Management. From the sand dunes of Kulukulu, Sigatoka, Steele was discovered by Trump talent scout Duane Gaza-White who prior to his recruit trip to Fiji, flew to outer countries like Japan and China to find the ‘face of tomorrow’.
Steele shares that before her big moment, the only fear she had was disappointing her parents – a nostalgia all Pacific Islander’s can relate to. Steele commented in a recent interview that “the first time my mum ever saw me model was just a few days ago, the day I was so nervous about letting her down and the day I got picked to represent Fiji in such a major modelling agency.” However, Steele was not the only one filled with emotion. Gaza-White admitted that the moment he saw her, ‘he took a moment to capture himself’.
Ms. Steele is currently in the Big Apple New York, where sleeping is no longer a course for dreaming – she is living her dream while giving back to her homeland of Fiji! Keep close on this gem of steel as she continues to represent Oceania in a light that holds true to our people. Check out her Instagram page @phillipasteele to follow up on WHAT SHE DO!
