Fashion: Ever-changing and Universal

Whether you realize it or not, you are a fashion guru. Fashion, like music and art, is one of the universal languages, and how it is defined is up to you. Fashion gives us all the freedom to express ourselves, without ever having to say a word. Although designers present “the look” of each season to the world, it is really up to each individual to translate the trends into their own personal style.

As Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week came and went last week in New York, E! News caught up with designer and trend forecaster Catherine Malandrino to get her take on the upcoming styles of Fall 2013.

In upcoming trends, Malandrino predicts to see “… [a] deep color palette—deep and rich, with aubergines, deep greens, purple and navy. A silhouette of femininity but in a more geometric way.” The designer says we will see many geometric shapes and abstract influences in fashion this year.

Starting Monday February 18, MAGIC Market Week will be taking place in Las Vegas. MWW is a tradeshow for fashion, designs, and inspiration. With over 60,000 guests that attend the event each year, MAGIC showcases nearly 6,500 of the most relative and innovative brands in the industry today. Here at the event, we can expect to see many pieces that reflect Catherine Malandrino’s predictions as well as other new and exciting new trends.

With new color schemes and styles for every season, fashion is never really finished. Whether it is recycled styles or trends that no one has ever seen before, there is always something new just around the corner, it all depends on you. Keep an eye out for coverage on MAGIC Market Week in the near future!
