On October 18th, TheWhatItDo.com and BetelnutRadio will host two events in the WetCoast that is a joint grassroots effort to promote the importance of voting this November through two nights of live acoustic sessions. Featured urban island music artist for this showcase is Josh “Wawa” White from Salt Lake City, UT.
This will be the first time where these media platforms are utilizing their networks to anxiously engage in a cause that is important to the new power generation. It will be an exciting event filled with beautiful people and an amazing night of feel good music with music artists sharing their stories of behind the music. Seattle’s show will be held at The Social and doors open at 7pm. Vancouver’s show will be held at the Avenue Lounge and doors open at 7pm.
“We use music, popular culture, new technologies and grassroots organizing to motivate and mobilize young people in our country to participate in every election, with the goal of seizing the power of the youth vote to create political and social change.” – RockTheVote.org
Representation from both political parties will be present which will allow the crowd to interact with the party of their choice. BetelnutRadio’s producer Bert Javier says,”These are the kind of events we like to associate ourselves with and be apart of because it’s all about the rising generation and empowering them.”
Tickets are currently on sale online at Kadukuclothing.com for both Seattle and Vancouver shows. If you are inquiring to purchase tickets in person for either location, you can contact Bert Javier via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
“Rocking the month of October with Rock The Vote Acoustic Series starting in Seattle and working its way down the west coast seaport is the daily goal for us. Change a life and you change a generation and that’s what we do at TheWhatItDo,” says Elizabeth Lavulo of TheWhatItDo.com.
