The Ohana Wellness Center hosts their first annual health fair over the July 21st weekend at the Civic Center in Carson, CA. An amazing free event for the polynesian community to enjoy a day centered around healthy living.
The annual health fair features activities, entertainment, raffle giveaways, and the only event in Southern California that focuses to celebrate urban islander health and wellness awareness.
Local urban island entertainment including music groups performances and a special demonstration from Anna-Rita Sloss and the Hot Hula crew from Orange County and Las Vegas, NV showcased a stellar fitness program. A refreshing, predominantly polynesian crowd came out to the event to support.
The Ohana Wellness Center’s massage therapists offered free massages attracting crowds of people of all ages. Vendor booths and food trucks added to a day of learning about some local resources to keep you and your family healthy.
Ohana Wellness Center aims to keep Carson healthy with the annual health fair event. “I hope to impact not just the polynesian community, but for all people in the future to come out annually and join us to promote health and awareness, “ says Myron Mailo, President of Ohana, who was seen throughout the event greeting people.
Mailo continues to advocate for Pacific Islanders and that’s WhatItDo!
