Laughing Samoans And The Zapp Band Show

One of the most anticipated urban island shows of the summer in Southern California, TeamUSO produces a weekend full of entertainment centered around “Unity Through Health and Wellness”.

On July 21, 2012, Laughing Samoans gave a hilarious knee slapping “Funny Jokes” performance which ended with The Zapp Band closing out the event with a bang.

Early in the day at the health fair, people could not stop buzzing about the New Zealand comedic duo, Eteuati Ete and Tofiga Fepulea’i, together known as the Laughing Samoans. It would be the duos first performance release of the “Funny Chokers” tour in the United States.

Crowds welcomed the Laughing Samoans with big laughs responding to a series of jokes based on cultural differences, children’s storytelling, and gym workouts that men usually do to compete with each other and concluding with an comic impressionist skit rendition of a Samoan Elvis.

V.I.P. guests enjoyed an all inclusive food, music, and drinks package throughout the night.

“It was the first time I have seen Laughing Samoans perform and I must say that they were beyond hilarious. They were so funny that they had my stomach hurting from laughing. It was really entertaining to see the brilliant minds of Tofiga and Ete conceptualize their humor around some of the social issues that polynesians specifically do, say, and go through on a daily basis. People don’t realize at times how much deep thought and intelligence it takes to come up with original content.”

The night ended with legendary Zapp Band rocking the house and everyone on their feet dancing and feeling the music with classics such as Bounce to the Ounce, Doo-Wa-Ditty, and Computer Love was amazing to watch live.

TeamUSO produces a stellar weekend of events and I’m sure everyone is looking forward to their future events and that’s WhatItDo!
