If you live in the Bay Area or even if you’re just visiting San Francisco and are looking for great food, awesome entertainment, and a nice atmosphere, there is one place that can fulfill your needs and that is Yoshi’s SF in the Fillmore District. It’s an area of the city where you can find Jazz and R&B music, so you know that this is the place to be for an ultimate experience of the heartbeat and soul of San Francisco.
Host IsaGirl of The WhatItDo attended one of Yoshi SF’s Thanksgiving holiday weekend music events which was a night of old school Hip-Hop and Dance music. The crowd was for the grown and sexy who didn’t have time to be bothered by anybody who doesn’t know what that is. Check out our review of Yoshi’s SF and how we were able to catch up with the music tastemakers of the Bay Area’s radio waves such as Chuy Gomez of 106.1 KMEL, DJ Russ of the world famous Rick and Russ Show, and the finest DJ’s in the city by the Bay. During that night, there were two shows going on at the same time; there was the S.O.S. Band in one part of the club and Rodney “O” in the other. Promoter and tastemaker of music DJ Positively Red put on the old school Hip-Hop show with Rodney “O” and Joe Cooley and the show had a sold out crowd. The block was definitely hot that night.
Check out how The WhatItDo gets down at Yoshi’s SF and all the beautiful people that were in the building!
