The Tongan Friendship Society hosted their 1st Annual Siale Festival in Wilmington, CA. Tongans in Southern California came together to celebrate education and culture and how preserving one’s identity helps to mold and build stronger communities. Keeping the culture and teaching it to the young tongan youth in the states was part of the vision of the Friendship Society and they not only had a successful event, but a fantastic program and a great turnout. Host Jordan Havili was in the building to witness it all and caught up with local vendors, great food, performers, the talented Tiana Liufau of Nonosina Polynesia and many more.
