It was a Backyard Boogie last weekend when Island Sol Company hosted the album release party of Wash House Music artist J Boog at the Mezzanine in downtown San Francisco, CA. Pulling up to the show, the line to get in wrapped around the corner of the street as excited fans anxiously came through to show love to Reggae sensation J Boog. His music career has exploded over the course of this year and The WhatItDo had the opportunity to see it all unfold.

Other performers included Bay area’s own Bayonics whose diverse and eclectic sound kept the crowd flowing and grooving throughout the night. The atmosphere was insane due to a sold out event that was crackin’ from start to finish. The WhatItDo hosts Melania Cavu, Jordan Havili, Leta Fau’olo and Lu’isa Ha’ungatau aka IsaGirl led the crew through the night with interviews with the fans and how they felt being at the party. San Francisco Bay area rapper B-Legit was in the building also to show his love for J Boog and his presence only added to the exciting and wild night of fun.

We had such a BLAST last Friday at the show! The crowd was showin our crew (theWhatitdo) nothin but MAD love. There was such a diverse crowd of every culture and race. That’s what I love about Frisco! It’s like a smaller version on NYC. Urban. J-Boog killed it on stage. The crowd couldn’t get enough of it. The Bayonics were on fire (a local group). Those who couldn’t make it out really missed a great show!

    Thass Whatitdo!!

Nothin but love…. Yo’ girL, IsagirL aka L-Boogie
