“A people without the knowledge of their past history, origin and culture is like a tree without roots (Marcus Mosiah Garvey Selah).” Selah International is a company who takes pride in producing the best high quality products to share with all people whether its their clothing line, or throwing a benefit concert for Cancer, they stay ready. As a group, they collectively come together to promote awareness, unity, and most of all a love for one people. You can find their presence at music festivals specifically towards the genre of reggae music. Many reggae music stars have endorsed their jerseys and clothing gear, but last Saturday they were in full effect to show mad love for Dan F. Alo Sr. by throwing a showcase and a benefit concert in his behalf.

Downtown Long Beach, CA was definitely the place to be this past weekend. The place to be was at Cohibas Nightclub with live performances by Common Kings, Zhen, and The Hooliganz. If you weren’t in the building, you for sure missed out on a great night of fun and entertainment. Common Kings and the one and only Susie Liufau set the mood with requested slow jams from their fans, then the band performed a song of their own called “Alcoholic” that had the whole crowd putting their drinks in the air and groovin with good vibes. The crowd then went bananas as soon as Zhen came on stage. Zhen set the building on fire and the crowd went crazy with two-steps and wild moves on the dance floor. It was a very well-organized event and the WhatItDo enjoyed being a part of it. Selah Int’L gave the fans a great show and the fans showed the most love.
