If you haven’t been to Monterey, CA it’s a beautiful city right on the northern coast of California with marina lifestyle living and beautiful coastal scenic views. Last weekend reggae music was in full effect in this pretty little town. The fairgrounds held its 16th annual reggae festival once again and the event was the place to be. Reggae lovers came from all over the “Golden State” and the western seaport to be apart of this festival. Besides the vendor booths and food, the music is what brought everyone together. The organizers did a fantastic job organizing each of the music acts that hit the stage and rocked the fairgrounds. After each performance their was a press conference where media and invited guests were able to interact with the reggae music artists and The Whatitdo crew was in the building.
The Reggae Fest atmosphere was full of Irie sounds and reggae sensations like Inner Circle, Maxi Priest, and Anthony B. The crowds swayed to their hits and the feel good music took over. Urban Island music artists were in full effect. Fiji kicked off his Friday performance and rocked the crowd. Zhen and his group sang crowd favorites and originals. The Hooliganz represented on the other side of the festival with their music. And last but not least, J Boog killed the stage with his performance and it was a site to see.
