The Long Beach native rapper who goes by the name “Yung LB” makes it clear he’s all about music. The Tongan rapper took some time out to give me an interview that gave me a glimpse of what he’s all about. Growing up on the east side of Long Beach before moving around the city, Yung LB attributes his passion and drive to be successful to his family, particular his brothers who have passed away. Being a Polynesian myself, I know family is a major thing. I wanted to know just how much influence does his music get from his family. When asked about one of his favorite songs, he mentioned a song that he created last father’s day that spoke about his personal life and he had his kids in his mind and heart when he made it.
Doing shows from Long Beach to venues in Los Angeles, Yung LB shares with the audience some of the things that make him tick – like money. In the well produced music video “Bout tha money,” he talks about how he’s been through some tough times but now he’s getting his financials in order. This is one of the talented artists coming from the LBC. Check out the video below to watch the exclusive interview.
