Saturday, May 7 at MGM Grand at 9 ET is when it all goes down in an event you wont want to miss.  The “Pound for Pound” eight-time defending world champion, Manny Pacquiao, will take on three-division world champion,  “Sugar” Shane Mosley, in what will be the biggest boxing event of the year.

A global icon, recognized by many as the best fighter in boxing today, Pacquiao is easily the sports most popular personality.  The hype that surrounds a Manny Pacquiao fight card is unmatched by any other.  Known for his speed, stamina and explosiveness, Pacquiao goes into the fight heavily favored over the 38-year-old Shane Mosley.  However, Manny does not underestimate his opponent.  “Shane Mosley is a good fighter and a legend.  He will be one of the toughest fights in my career.”

A superstar in his own right and future Hall of Famer, Mosley was also once recognized as one of the quickest boxers in the ring and is out to prove that he still is.  Known for his knock out power, as well as never having been knocked out, Mosley enters the fight with extreme confidence despite being considered a major underdog.  “ He has no advantages.  I’m just as fast, if not faster, I’m taller and I’m longer.”

With both fighters being great ambassadors for the sportthere has been little or no trash talk throughout the whole pre-fight experience.  Both fighters are just ready to give a show to all boxing fans across the world.  This should be an excellent fight that will be a must see.

You can catch the fight live on Showtime pay-per-view.
