Love? It’s the name of JLo’s newest album and the perfect word to describe how the crowd was feeling last night at the Grove in LA. The WHATITDO was there when Extra, hosted by Mario Lopez, threw a special promotional event for the release of Jennifer Lopez’s new album.
“It’s really exciting; I keep saying that it feels like it’s my first album again. I don’t know if it’s because it’s after the babies or whatever, but it just has the same type of excitement. I’ve been working on it for a couple years and I really am proud of it, I’m proud of how it came out, and I’m just so happy that everybody is liking the music. I mean, that’s the biggest reward for me.”
Jennifer was charming and beautiful, as usual, and very gracious to the fans. Smiling and waving and shouting “I love you too” in response to the throngs professing their love, Jennifer displayed the proper regal elegance as the veteran entertainment icon she has become. Answering questions about love vetted from colleagues like Ryan Seacrest, Kirsti Ally, Randy Jackson, Steven Tyler, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Will Smith, Jennifer’s answers were heartfelt and sincere.
When asked, “How can one measure the depth in which someone loves them?” JLo responded, “If the depth is really deep, you shouldn’t be able to measure it, I think. It should go on and on and on”
“[Happiness is] about family, it’s about love, it’s about the people in your life, and you learn that as you go.”
Overall, Extra threw an awesome event, complete with: prizes, dance competitions, surprise guests, a fashion show, and an intimate look into the heart of one of America’s most loved singers.
And just in case you missed my tweet from the event:
