Nissan brings big things in a MAXima package

The Nissan Maxima was originally born into that gray area between a performance car and a sedan, or as they called it, the four-door sports car. It was originally in a class of its own but in more recent years that class has started to get bit crowded. Rather than being drowned out by the noise, Nissan went back to the drawing board and brought back with them a whole new Maxima to put it back at the top of its class.

The Maxima’s sports/luxury collab gives great performance without giving up a smooth ride. The Sports Edition Package comes fully equipped under the hood with a 3.5 liter DOHC 24-Valve V6 Engine paired with a Continue Variable Transmission with DS Mode and manual mode. Not to mention the paddle shifters on the steering wheel for total control when you’re cutting a path through that morning traffic.

The exterior body style brings some street cred; it’s half-sedan, half-amazing. The new wider, more agressive stance will definitely be turning some heads. Especially with the 18” alloy wheels, automatic sunroof, side mirrors with the turn indicators. The interior is no different. Wrapped in black leather upholstery as well as a voice-activated navigation system, you definitely won’t be disappointed. Your backseat drivers will stay cool with their own AC controls, and if they wanna grab something outta the trunk, all they do is reach through the Rear-seat trunk pass-through.

If you’re like T.I. and just want to let your beats pound, you’ll be glad they didn’t sleep on the sound system. The Maxima gives a real surround sound experience. Nine speakers, including three 3.5″ Twiddler® neodymium front speakers, two 6″ x 9″ front door woofers, two 6.5″ wide-range neodymium rear door speakers and two 6″ x 9″ rear neodymium woofers. XM® Satellite Radio – includes activation and 3 months of service MP3/WMA CD playback USB connectivity (iPod® compatible) Auxiliary audio/video input jacks. And of course there’s the DVD playback. Yep that’s what ya heard, nothing is left out in this beast.

And last but definitely not least, you can’t forget about safety. Nissan’s Advanced Air Bag System with dual-stage supplemental front air bags with seat belt and occupant-classification sensors will be there for you before you even know anything happened. Along with driver and front-passenger seat-mounted side-impact supplemental air bags and Roof-mounted curtain side-impact supplemental air bags for front and rear-seat outboard occupant head protection? Nissan definitely has your back, and the rest of your body. Now that’s WHAT IT DO!
